Urgent Need for Weekly Food Donations
Saturday and Sunday Mornings
9:30 - 11:30 am
Can you share some food with our neighbours?
We continue to collect non-perishable food items, and some long-lasting perishable items (e.g. apples; potatoes), every week to take to Four Villages Community Health Centre for their emergency food cupboard.
The program completely relies on St. John’s to keep their emergency food cupboards filled with food. The Monday food bank cannot meet the needs of clients because there are too many people to feed and not enough food to feed them.
We are very thankful to everyone who has donated and helped with this important ministry!
Prayer Petitions
Each Sunday during the prayers of the people, we pray for people who are ill or have needs or concerns.
You may send the names of anyone for whom you ask prayers to Mother Alexandra at pastor@sjwt.ca or speak directly to her or write their names on the prayer request sheet in the Narthex.
Please ensure that you have permission to pray publicly for the person and indicate if the request is for healing or for other needs and concerns.
We pray for God's peace in troubled lands under threat of danger. We pray God's peace into the hearts of those who hate, into the minds of those who live in anger, of those who long for revenge.
We pray for survivors of the residential school system, the 60s scoop, and all the Indigenous women that are missing and murdered and for their families and communities

Land Acknowledgment
Creator, you made all people of every land. It is our responsibility to give thanks and respect to those who first occupied this land we are upon. We give thanks to the Wendat, the Anishinabee, the Mississauga of the Credit and the Haudenosaunee, the first people of this land.
We offer our respect to those ancestors who may be interred on this land. We are also thankful for the gifts of the People of the land. Creator let us be of Good Mind to reconcile the mistreatment of this land and to those who have been displaced.
With thankful and respectful hearts, we pray in Your name, Your son the Peacemaker and the Sacred Spirit. Amen
